
Background
Dr. Laramie has experience working with a wide variety of people and problems across his career. During his graduate studies, Dr. Laramie focused on health psychology, which explores the interaction between physical and mental well-being. He now teaches the subject to doctoral students. Upon graduating, he pursued additional training in eating disorders and psychoanalytic therapy.
Dr. Laramie's doctoral dissertation explored the nature of people's relationships with their cell phones. In his clinical practice, he is attuned to the uses and meanings of technology, including issues of unhealthy phone and internet use.
